Batman fans can rejoice after Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment announced that Batman™: Return to Arkham will be available on October 18, 2016 for the PlayStation®4 and Xbox One console respectively.

Originally set to be released in July, it was delayed to give the developers more time to include remastered versions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, as well as all of the Game of the Year edition bonus and downloadable content ever released as part of a bundle. The new Return to Arkham is still awaiting an FPB rating for South Africa.

The atmospheric and intense third person perspective game, will be the fifth edition of the Batman: Arkham series after the first installment of the franchise Batman: Arkham Asylum released in 2009, and its sequel Batman: Arkham City released in 2011, and is set one year after the events of Arkham Asylum. This was followed by a prequel, Batman: Arkham Origins from 2013 which is set five years before the events of Arkham Asylum and the latest edition, Arkham Knight released last year.

The new official Batman: Return to Arkham, displays a side-by-side trailer of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, showing a comparison of the game’s improved graphics, upgraded models, environments, lighting, effects and shaders.

Fans can visit the game’s official Facebook page for more information and updates about the game.
