The Nelson Mandela Legacy Cup is heading to Cape Town tomorrow (December 8, 2016) where two of the country’s national squads – the Proteas (cricket) and the Springboks (rugby) will battle it out at Newlands Stadium.

It will be an incredible sporting weekend with the HSBC Sevens Tournament headlining Cape Town Stadium on December 10-11, 2016, this T20 match-up promises to be nothing short of entertainment and unmissable moments.

According to Cricket South Africa’s head of Commerical and Marketing, Clive Eksteen, “Having a title sponsor for an event of this nature goes a long way in ensuring that we achieve and meet our objectives of contributing generously to the Nelson Mandela Foundation.”

“The day promises to be lots of fun, but also serve as a memory to the legacy left behind by our late president, Nelson Mandela, as we celebrate the contribution he has made to our beautiful country.

The Springbok squad: Damian de Allende, Faf de Klerk, Jean de Villiers, Stephan Dippenaar, Butch James, Rohan Janse van Rensburg, Conrad Jantjes, Pat Lambie, Tiaan Liebenberg, Percy Montgomery, Trevor Nyakane, Sergeal Petersen, Siya Kolisi.

Tickets are available at TicketPro or at the ticket office at Newlands Stadium with prices ranging from R120 to R180. The match will be broadcasted live on SuperSport 2 channel 202 from 17:30.
