JOHANNESBURG – Cricket SA (CSA) congratulated the Proteas on their series victory over Australia in the Momentum ODI Series after stunning the reigning ICC World Cup champions by winning the first three games in this five-match series.
The Proteas clinched the series after winning the third match at Kingsmead by four wickets with four balls to spare to give them a unassailable 3-0 lead. They now have the chance to go for a first-ever clean sweep over Australia.
“It has truly been brilliant performances by the team and what a spectacular way to clinch the series,” commented CSA Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat. “Tonight we enjoyed great ODI cricket and an extraordinary performance from the Proteas.
