Stands have been filled by the public as former Wits SRC president Mcebo Dlamini appears at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court today.
Dlamini faces charges of public violence, theft, malicious damage to property and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm following his arrest in October.
Advocate Dali Mpofu has stated to the court that they need to substantiate the evidence surrounding Dlamini’s arrest. “You can’t say someone who looks like you was seen throwing a rock and then you are sent to jail.”

Last time I was detained was in 1989. I was residing in Sharpeville yet detained in Witbank. Just to frustrate & cut support. #MceboDlamini

#MceboDlamini is appearing in court cases but he must realise that it is his own party that put him there. Maybe its time to switch.
